Lawn & Garden Tractor...

2007 Rules and Classes Subject to change
At Event Officials discretion according to turn-out

Weight Classes (subject to change)

1. Clipper Class – or Straight Stock - to be determined day of pull according to turn out
2. Stock Altered – 650 lbs. Kids only class 14 yrs old and under

750 lbs.
850 lbs.
950 lbs.
1050 lbs.
1150 lbs.

3. Modified Class –

850 lbs.
950 lbs.

Vehicle Requirements

1. Inspection of tractor and ATV will be held prior to the event and may be checked again at random at event officials discretion. All tractors will need to be “qualified” by Event Officials to ensure proper class registration.
2. No tires over 15” unless factory specs. No chains or dual wheels.
3. No pitbull or Cepeck tires (or tires cut in the fashion of) allowed in the clipper class or the Stock Altered, Bar or turf tread only in these two classes.
Note Pitbull and cepeck type tires may be used ONLY in the modified class
4. All tractors having a modified hitch must also have wheelie bars and a safety kill switch located on the rear of the tractor.
5. Maximum hitch height will be no more than 14” from top of hook point to ground.
6. All moving parts must be shielded.
7. (For ATV only) No extra or additional weights allowed.
8. All factory components such as: steering, all linkages, fuel lines, exhaust and driveline must be in good condition.
9. All hitches are required to have a 1” hole or larger and can use a ball hitch or clevis.
10. Weights must be safely secured to tractor, if you lose a weight while pulling, you will be disqualified.
11. Gasoline only in tractors NO ALCOHOL
12. No weights past scale point. Random checks may be done at any time at the discretion of event officials. Decisions will be final and not appealable.
13. Sled measurements are final.
14. The event officials will decide anything not covered in these rules the day of the event.

Pulling Classes for Lawn & Garden Tractors Defined

Clipper Class or Straight Stock
Defined as a lawn tractor having no performance enhancing modifications what so ever. With exception to the hitch which will be required to have a minimum of a 1 “ hole, or a ball hitch, or clevis. NOTE that with an adjustable hitch, wheelie bars will also be required.

Stock Altered
Defined as a lawn tractor with the following modifications ONLY
1. Adjustable Hitch
2. Wheelie Bars REQUIRED with adjustable hitch
3. Safety Kill switch REQUIRED
4. Weight Brackets to accommodate hang on weights
5. Tire Size 23” and 26” widened rims
6. Exhaust or Muffler may be altered
7. All other parts and components must be OEM available, unaltered parts for engine manufacturer and configuration. No performance improving alterations to chassis or engine parts
8. Bar tread and turf tread ONLY

Modified
Defined as a lawn tractor with the above mentioned modifications and further
Performance enhancing modifications to the drive train, engine, and chassis.
Pitbull and cepeck tires may be used in this class ONLY

Inspection and Registration
All tractors and ATV’s will be inspected prior to being registered by Event Officials to ensure proper registration.

General Rules

1. Contestants enter at their own risk and are responsible for injuries or damage to others caused by them or their tractor or ATV. Any contestant under age 18 must have parent or legal guardian’s signature. All contestants must sign a waiver prior to pulling.
2. Reckless operation or horseplay will not be tolerated and will be grounds for disqualification.
3. No alcohol or illegal drugs
4. The first pull will be free, (to offset gate fee) all pulls thereafter will be $5.00 per hook.
5. Pulling order determined at sign up, the first puller in each class is a test puller and has the option to repull in the third position if desired. Contestant must let official know before leaving track.
6. Registration will begin 1 hour or more before the event and will close promptly at the start of the event. Once closed, no one else will be allowed to enter the event.

Pulling Rules

1. Contestant must start with a tight hitch, and will start and stop on the flagmans signal.
2. Tractors or ATV must stay within the boundary lines of the track or be disqualified. Out of bounds will judged by the rear tire touching the line on the track.
3. Each contestant will be allowed two attempts to start the sled as long as the sled foot does not go past the 50’ mark.
4. No bouncing up and down on tractor or ATV while pulling. Driver must remain in seat at all times and keep one hand on steering wheel at all times (ATV must keep both hands on handle bars)
5. All judgment calls by event officials are final and non-appealable
